Toronto just got a virtual food hall

Food halls have become a popular way for Torontonians to experience dishes from restaurants all under one roof but the newest addition to the food hall roster varies from the rest.

Kitchen Hub, located in Etobicoke at 935 The Queensway, is a virtual food hall. Described on their site as "a shared space where multiple cloud kitchens operate together; designed to accept orders only through online ordering systems for takeout and delivery, with no dine-in facility."

Cloud kitchens are beginning to pop up across the city to help relieve restaurant kitchens from the overwhelming demand online orders are adding.

Kitchen Hub offers kitchen space, restaurant-grade equipment and services to Toronto restaurants in need of more space. Several well-known establishments are already taking advantage of cloud kitchens -- such as Pai, Greenhouse, The Carbon Bar and The Cheesecake Factory.

All restaurants are open for orders from Doordash, SkipTheDishes, UberEats and Ritual beginning January 20, with the exception of Blondies, which will be open later in February.
