Uma Nota Culture teams up with Toronto restaurants for live concert series

Uma Nota Culture is launching a live concert series featuring local artists and popular Toronto restaurants on every Wednesday for the month of March.

This non-profit organization hopes to share diverse music with the Toronto community while also highlighting the importance of supporting local restaurants. They want to encourage their audience to let Toronto's best restaurants to do the cooking on Wednesdays while they sit back and enjoy the tunes of the city. Each week they will feature different restaurants, promoting takeout as a way for their audience to heighten their listening or watching experience.

The participating restaurants are the Carbon Bar, Drom Taberna, Enoteca Sociale, Fantastic Baby! Cafe, Five Points Hot Chicken, Kimchi Korea House, La Palette, La Palma, Matty's Patty's Burger Club, the Opium Bar, Osteria Rialto, Saffron Spice Kitchen, Smokeshow BBQ and Brew and 416 Snack Bar.

Starting March 10, the first lineup will feature Toronto artist LolaBunz, DJ Elle––a rising star of Toronto hip-hop––and DJ Grouch, a primo old school hip-hop turntablist and selector. The event will livestream from BSMT 254 and will be hosted by 'Me Time' a.k.a. Sarah Barrable-Tishauer, a talented DJ and actor well-known from Toronto's very own Degrassi.

The four-week event is presented by Uma Nota Culture, Department of Canadian Heritage and the City of Toronto's Winter Activation Program. For more information about the upcoming dates and artists, you can check out their Eventbrite.
