One of Toronto’s most popular sandwich shops is expanding. Grandma Loves You, located at 1084 Yonge Street, is opening a second location inside Chef’s Hall later this month. Voted among Yelp’s 100 Top Places to Eat in Canada in both 2022 and 2023, the sandwich shop is celebrating four years of feeding hungry Torontonians at the same time as the expansion to the Financial District, bringing beloved options like the Turkey Bacon Sub and the Bavarian with German Ham to even more stomachs across the city.
Trips to Oakville are about to get tastier with a new location of Nadège Patisserie opening at 249 Lakeshore Road East, this spring. A fifth location for the renowned pastry boutique, Nadège promises to enrich Oakville's vibrant downtown with a giddy array of pastel-hued macarons, multi-layered cakes, crisp viennoiseries, chocolates, cookies, and more.
Guests at Nadège Oakville will discover chef and owner Nadège Nourian's tempting selection of contemporary savouries and sweets. The menu will include the team's elegant cakes, macarons, croissants, laminated pastries, and gourmet sandwiches, along with coffee and other creative speciality drinks. Designed by nkArchitect, Nadège Oakville is slated to open this April.
The Butcher’s Son, a neighbourhood butcher shop specializing in naturally raised meats and specialty prepared foods, has opened a second location at 195 Geary Ave. Opened by Matthew Kumprey and chef Vito Rizzuto, the original location at 2055 Yonge St. has been serving the Toronto community for the last eight years. The new spot on Geary Ave. joins a handful of other well-established eateries and serves sandwiches, sides and salads alongside butchery staples.
Tim Hortons “Roll Up To Win contest” is back across Canada starting March 6 through April 2. This year, guests have a chance to win enticing prizes including cars, getaways, gift cards, millions of coffee and food prizes, and new this year, a daily $10,000 jackpot! Located at 2409 Yonge St., Benny's BBQ is a snug, go-to spot for all of your favourite Southern smoked meats, including brisket, pulled pork and saucy baby back ribs sold by the pound. Staying true to their “open until sold out” motto, Benny's last call for alcohol will be at 7:30 p.m.
Join celebrated chef Ned Bell this month as he brings West-Coast flavour to Eataly at La Costa. With several events taking place at Eataly's seafood-focused La Pescheria restaurant between March 9th and 11th, there are plenty of delicious ways to enjoy every moment.
The owner and culinary leader of B.C.'s Naramata Inn, chef Ned Bell is an ardent advocate for healthy oceans and is passionate about sustainable seafood. For the first of Eataly's four-part, chef collaboration series, Bell is joining La Pescheria chef Steve Spiewak to shine a spotlight on the cuisine of Canada's West Coast.
Festivities begin on March 9th, with a cocktail reception and dinner featuring Ned’s Famous Giant Clam Chowder and Malloreddus alla Vongole. Cooking classes will also be taking place on March 10th and 11th. The chefs' collaborative menu will also be available at La Pescheria on March 10th and 11th from 6 p.m.

After a long wait, McDonald's has finally launched the official Chicken Big Mac. For a limited time, Canadians can sink their teeth into the new Chicken Big Mac, which features two chicken patties made with 100 per cent Canadian raised, seasoned chicken breast in a crispy, light-tasting coating on a freshly toasted sesame seed bun. A fresh take on a McDonald's classic, the Chicken Big Mac comes topped with Big Mac sauce, fresh lettuce, processed cheddar cheese and tangy pickles.

As of today, March 6th, Rol San has officially reopened at their new address, 388 Spadina Avenue. The restaurant was previously located at 323 Spadina Avenue and had resided there for the past 28 years. Rol San has been closed for the past 3 weeks so fans of the restaurant will be flocking to the new digs.
