Loaded Chilli Cheese Fries 13 Steps
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Wash and cut the potatoes into thin fries.
Spread the fries out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy.
While the fries are baking, make the chilli. Heat up the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and bell pepper, sauté for a few minutes then add the ground beef. Cook until browned and no longer pink, breaking up the meat with a spatula as it cooks.
Add the salt, pepper, smoked paprika, chili flakes and tomato paste to the skillet. Stir until the spices are evenly distributed.
Add the cream cheese to the skillet and stir until melted and fully combined with the beef mixture.
Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and transfer them to an oven safe dish or tray.
Spoon the chilli on top of the fries, spreading it out evenly.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chilli.
Place the dish back in the oven for a few minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Top the loaded fries with sliced jalapeño, diced avocado, chopped green onion and or cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
