A new organic and vegan restaurant opens in Leslieville

True Flavours is Toronto's newest hotspot for vegan cuisine. Using only sustainable, organic and local products, True Flavours ensures quality across the board.

Founded by chef Edward Malone and chef Noha Youssef, True Flavours was created using a combination of Malone's "creativity and passion" and Youssef's "skills and discipline."

Originally from Soviet Russia, Malone has also lived in Dublin, Ireland, and now resides in Toronto, Canada. Malone's passion for food has always driven his goal to be a part of the restaurant industry as a chef. This ambition has allowed him to overcome struggles in his personal life and ultimately focus on his fondness for cooking. Before becoming a chef and owner of True Flavours, he trained at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts on Granville Island.

On the other hand, Youssef was born in Paris and was exposed to the food industry by her parents at a young age. Youssef followed her passion for the hospitality industry and her talents eventually lead her to Toronto, where she intends to create one-of-a-kind customer experiences as well as fantastic food through her shared enterprise of True Flavours.

True Flavours received a warm welcome to the Leslieville neighbourhood from The Sidekick café and comic shop, who created a special coffee blend for them that is available for purchase.

True Flavours also works with other Canadian-based businesses such as Na Booze, which specializes in non-alcoholic beverages, and Veg Cheese, an organic, plant-based, nut- and gluten-free cheese company.

You can find True Flavours on Ritual, SkipTheDishes, order directly through their TouchBistro system or visit them for takeout at 1311 Queen Street East.

They will also be available on DoorDash in the near future!
