The Volo team announced last week that they will be taking over the Royal Cinema's front lobby and concession stand for their new retail venture, Bottega Volo.

The new location will be a retail outlet for beer, wine and Italian grocery products. This space will also be used for Scuola di Volo, which are educational seminars that include guided tasting experiences and feature producers from all around the world. This project is set to open next month.

For those of you who don't know, the Royal Cinema is a historic Art Moderne movie house in Little Italy that was built in 1939. Volo will be sub-leasing the lobby and concession spaces but not the auditorium, meaning that the theatre will still be able to operate. This partnership is meant to "maintain and enhance the integrity of the theatre" through Volo's beverages and bites options.

If July seems a little too far away for you, Volo also has two other locations that currently up and running. Birreria Volo, located at 612 College Street, has both a back and front patio open for temporary hours between 2 p.m. to 12 a.m. from Thursday to Sunday. They also have a bottle shop, where you can grab a variety of beverages made by producers from all over the world.

Bar Volo at 17 St. Nicholas Street is open from Monday to Saturday from 12 p.m to 8 p.m. If you are looking for some takeaway items, they have sandwiches, Italian grocery products, beer, wine, draught beer and cocktails to go.

Bottega Volo will be located at 608 College Street and is set to open in July.
