Bicyclette Food & Wine is elevating 'grab-and-go' offerings

Bicyclette Food & Wine is the perfect option for bringing simple and honest cooking back home to enjoy.

Each week, Bicyclette's online menu is updated, offering a variety of high-quality dishes that are designed for sharing. The online menu is divided into three categories of food that you can pre-order and pick up: Main courses and soup, artisanal sandwiches and tartines, and 'sweet things'.

Chef and owner Jean-Pierre Centeno is originally from France, and uses fresh and sustainable ingredients to bring his knowledge of French cuisine to life.

The name itself refers to Centeno's French background and the history of the space. Before Bicyclette was established, the building was originally home to a bike shop for about 25 years.

Although Bicyclette's primary focus at the moment is their 'grab and go' meals, they also offer takeout options during the day that do not require pre-ordering, such as, baguette sandwiches and niçoise salads. Additionally, Bicyclette is hosting a virtual sausage-making seminar on April 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Attendees can RSVP through their website.

In the future, Centeno plans to open a bottle shop within Bicyclette that will offer biodynamic and natural wines that can be purchased separately, or paired with different dishes.

For next-day pickup, Bicyclette requires orders to be placed by 2 p.m. To place an order, head to their online ordering platform, add your preferred dishes to your cart, and select a pickup time. Their pickup opens at 11 a.m. and they are located at 290 1/2 Harbord Street.
