Celebrate all things Asian this evening at stackt’s Asian night market

Kicking off the long weekend in style, stackt market has turned their shipping container-filled outdoor space into a lively Asian night market, complete with Asian-owned small businesses, games and DJs.

Stop by stackt before 11 p.m. today and get your fill of some of Toronto’s best Asian-owned restaurants, bakeries and shops, including jewellery and vintage finds.

In addition to stackt’s regulars—Baobird, Soft Dough Co. and Ocaso Tacos—the Asian night market will see a roster of other coveted Toronto vendors all in one space.

This includes Kwento, whose beautifully extravagant cakes you’ve no doubt seen all over Instagram. Tonight, they’ll be bringing their famous “fringe cakes” as well as adorable little cupcakes for you to enjoy on the spot.

Another exciting addition to this year’s night market is Marathon Tea, who will be coming from their Richmond Hill and Scarborough locations to bring their Hong Kong-style milk teas and casual bites downtown.

To try a more unique take on Asian flavours, pop-up supper club Preserve Indulgence will be returning to the night market this year with “snack pockets” filled with Asian-inspired ingredients like Hoisin duck and beef bulgogi.

Many other Asian-owned pop-ups and businesses will be at tonight’s event, including Vietnamese coffee by Saigon Drip, Filipino-inspired baked goods by Baker-Rae, and fresh daifuku mochi by Chubbi Rice.

The Asian night market has just started and will be going on until 11 p.m. tonight at stackt market on 28 Bathurst St. Tickets are free, but make sure to register for the event on their Eventbrite page.
