Four Seasons Hotel Toronto brings the French Riviera to Yorkville

If you long for the legendary style, sun and scenery of the French Riviera, Toronto has a new patio sure to impress. At d|azur, a luxury escape at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, you can dine on gourmet nibbles, sip swank cocktails, see and be seen, without having to pack a thing.

Located at the corner of Bay Street and Yorkville Avenue, d|azur is a patio destination, “inspired by the romance and elegance of the French Riviera,” according to a press release. Opened on June 14, the space boasts a custom art installation by local artist Jason Zante, meant to evoke the “beauty of France’s picturesque coastal regions and the Mediterranean.”

The menu of small plates, entrées and desserts at d|azur is light and bright, summery and imbued with the flavours of the south of France. Created by d|bar sous chef Horacio Macias Leon, the menu features a wealth of seafood-heavy dishes, from grilled sardine tartine to moules Cote D’Azur, lobster garganelli and more. Still, carnivores need not despair. Dishes like magret de canard and a 10oz striploin with saffron and seasonal mushroom risotto are also sure to satisfy.

For the most impeccable end to a holiday-inspired meal, pastry sous chef Kevin Levionnois' sweets hit all the right notes. Whichever you choose, from Limoncello baba to an orange blossom-laced tarte tropézienne or pistachio Paris-D'Azur, you'll enjoy every morsel enveloped in the glow of the chicest spot in town.

For those who want to keep the staycation vibe alive even after their patio experience is over, Four Seasons has a “d|azur Escape Package,” meant to soothe the most harried of souls. Each package includes welcome cocktails and canapés, lunch or dinner at d|azur, a private rosé tasting, a one-night stay in a signature suite, valet parking and more. If ever there was a way to feel a million miles away in the heart of the city, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto has it covered.
