Popular 'fresh eats' spot opens second location on Queen West

imPerfect Fresh Eats is Queen Street West's newest go-to spot for fresh and healthy salads, grain bowls and smoothies.

May and Jeff Dang, the founders, are siblings who created imPerfect Fresh Eats with the intention of reconnecting people with their love for food. In doing so, they targeted healthy eating, but in the most 'delicious, sensible, convenient and positive way' possible. The notion of 'imperfect' comes from the concept of imperfect produce which is used in their dishes to lower the cost for customers, while still providing them with nutritious and delicious products. This perfect, yet imperfect concept, supports local farmers and producers while limiting food waste at the same time.

According to research conducted by the National Zero Waste Council, about 2.2 million tonnes of food is wasted each year in Canada. With that being said, May and Jeff encourage others to join this 'imperfect' movement in order to one day eliminate the existence of imperfect produce.

imPerfect offers pre-made and customized options for each meal. Some of their signature dishes include the Surf & Turf Bowl, the Mexican Chipotle Chicken Wrap, and the Brazilian Pitaya Mango Smoothie. They also have a range of house-made sauces that you can add to your order.

Their newest item is the Spicy Charred Brussel Sprouts and Broccoli, which are tangy in flavour combined with a hint of sweet umami.

imPerfect Fresh Eats is located at 318 Adelaide Street West, and their latest outpost is at 477 Queen Street West. They offer both pickup and delivery services through their website and through Ritual.
