Jollibee opens new Toronto location

Beloved Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee opened their new Toronto digs today, March 6.

The new outpost, located at Centerpoint Mall in North York, marks the international chain's ninth location in the province. They will be serving up fan favourites, like their Jolly Crispy Chicken, Spaghetti and Peach-Mango Pie, among other beloved menu items.

"We are thrilled to offer our Canadian fans another location where they can easily and safely access their favourite Jollibee menu items," said Maribeth Dela Cruz, president of Jollibee Group North America, in a press release.

The new location is the latest of Jollibee's massive plans to rapidly expand in the Canadian market. Currently, there are now 17 operating Jollibee locations across Canada, with other outposts in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. The first North American branch opened in California in 1998 and now operate 64 stores across the continent and more than 240 stores worldwide.

The plan will see an additional six stores to open across Canada by the end of this year, inching towards their goal of having 300 locations across North America by 2024.

With Toronto still in lockdown for the next couple of weeks (at least), the new Jollibee store will be operating as a takeout and delivery-only location for the time being, but will be welcoming dine-in customers when restrictions allow for it.

The new location is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day, and can be found inside the mall at 4646 Yonge Street.
