Parkdale has a new steampunk-themed coffee spot in a historic building

Atlantis Coffee Co. is the latest addition to Toronto's coffee scene, located within the beautiful Parkdale Hall––a building that dates back to 1920. What was once an opulent theatre and cinema has transformed into a beautiful event venue and Sunday favourite, the west-end antique and collectables market.

With their steampunk decor, which uses a mix of elegant Victorian and industrial elements, the space is dressed to impress. Their choice of decoration is based on them being "craftsmen who want to push the boundaries between fantasy and reality." To make the space more quaint and on-brand they will be featuring photos of fantastical ancient sites such as the mythical city of Atlantis, the Great Pyramids, Göbekli Tepe, and more.

The details don't just end at the decor––it goes into how they pour each coffee, curate the baked goods list, and everything in between. Their baked goods come from delectable French pastry spot, Hadrien Verrier Patisserie and ethically-sourced coffee from around the world, including west-end favourite Ethica Coffee Roasters. Be sure to check them out and get your morning fix located at 1605 Queen St W.
