This catering company is bringing a taste of France to Toronto

O'Frenchy is a delicious and authentic French catering company based in Toronto.

The small yet high-quality menu currently includes sweet crepes and milkshakes. They make "crepes roulées," meaning you can add the filling of your choice. Fillings include apricot jam, strawberry jam, Nutella and more. Savoury crepes will be introduced soon!

In terms of the milkshakes, they have several flavours such as French Vanilla, Oreo, M&M and Kinder Bueno Nutella.

O'Frenchy ensures that each recipe is perfectly crafted in order to capture the best textures and flavours.

The owner and founder, Geoffrey Leger, came to Toronto in 2016 and has been working in the event and restaurant industry for years. He always loved what catering companies would bring to events and how excited people would get to try new foods that they wouldn't always have at home.

As a child, Leger loved making crepes for friends and family. "It’s just that dessert that everybody loves sharing, and I always had in my mind that one day I would open my own crêperie," Leger explained.

"COVID-19 hit right when I was about to launch the business, which initially was thought to be a catering business, so I had to adapt. When you love what you do, you always find ways to face the challenges so I decided to open anyways and do a French crepe delivery service instead and it was a big hit!"

Between their all French staff and authentic recipes, their delivery service "takes you straight to the Eiffel Tower!" According to Leger, everyone at O'Frenchy is "very proud to share a little taste of France with Canadians."

"That’s what I wanted to create in Toronto when I first moved here, an experience that you cannot find anywhere else. A trip to Paris in the middle of the six."

When people he knew saw him in the streets, they would call to him and say, "Ooo Frenchy!" So when it came to the name, O'Frenchy was more than fitting.

An in-person store will be opening downtown this month, but the location will be a surprise. Also, keep an eye out for the first O'Frenchy Bike to appear on the streets of Toronto, coming soon!

Toronto stores and bikes are just the beginning for this business. Over time, Leger's goal is to expand O'Frenchy into a worldwide franchise by opening stores all over Canada, and eventually, all over the globe. As Leger says, "The best is yet to come!"

Right now, you can find O'Frenchy on Uber Eats, SkipTheDishes and DoorDash.
