130 King St W

Black + Blue

This massive two-story steakhouse located right in the heart of Toronto's financial district is a perfect spot for date night. The menu features high-quality dishes including everything from classic steakhouse eats to fresh sushi and seafood. Of course, the star of the show is their premium cuts of steak which are kept in a salt-lined aging room right inside the restaurant. With old-school tableside service for items such as steak tartare, caesar salad and crepes, the intimacy of the experience is on another level. Silent H

Recently opened in one of Toronto's hottest bar scene locations, Silent H is a new restaurant with an atmosphere sure to impress. The dishes at Silent H are inspired by Chef Gerardo Álvarez Saucedo's experience with the food scene in his hometown of Monterrey, Mexico. Inspired by typical street food, Silent H offers shareable plates such as Aguachile Verde, tuna tostadas, tacos with black tiger shrimp or ribeye, and much more. To pair with the amazing selection of food is the innovative tequila-based cocktail menu featuring drinks that highlight the different regions of Mexico. With over 50 tequilas stocked behind the bar, there will be no shortage of fun to be had. Daphne

Daphne is one of the city's newest spots for a grande date-night experience. With an upscale take on an American-style menu, this place offers savory burgers, baked potatoes with caviar and even churros with a house-made Gruyere cheese dip. Daphne's beautiful 2,000-square-foot patio is where you'll be inclined to dine well into the evening as the hustle and bustle of the street is drowned out by the surrounding buildings, making the space feel intimate. KISSA

"An experience on its own" is the tagline of this newly opened restaurant in the city. With a cocktail-heavy menu, this is a great second-location spot for a date night. The inventive drinks are just as visually pleasing as they are delicious. The must-order Back in Black cocktail featuring house-made black sesame orgeat, Johny Walker Black, Madeira, fig and cinnamon are shaken over ice and presented in a smoked chamber tableside. Inspired by Japanese-style listening bars, the atmosphere of KISSA is an intimate speakeasy lounge. Ultra

The multisensory experience offered at Ultra will be sure to impress any date. Located in Toronto's midtown at 12 St. Clair Ave E, this recently opened restaurant offers an elevated dining adventure. The menu from Chef Kihyun Kim takes a twist on Asian dishes by blending traditional methods with modern flavours. The result is innovative creations such as their selection of fried rice dishes, sushi tarts, fresh sashimi and more. Local DJs and special entertainment into the late hours of the night create an enticing atmosphere unique to the restaurant. Luxurious decor inspired by Alexander McQueen sets a glamorous tone for a night out in the city.

Maxime's

This recently opened upscale restaurant in the downtown core is a fancy new place to impress any date, old or new. Maxime's specializes in steak, seafood, and signature cocktails. Opting for a cold or hot seafood tower will run $190 and $295 respectively. Prime cuts of steak from Canada to Australia to Japan are the most prominent on the menu. They also have an extensive wine and martini list to satisfy any palette. With rotating in-house DJs, the atmosphere of Maxime's is an elevated bar scene with exceptional food and drink.
