Grape Witches opens a cozy patio space behind their bottle shop

One of Toronto's most well-known natural wine spots, Grape Witches, has opened their patio space for the first time ever.

Their menu features 20 wines that range from Sparkling, Orange and Rosé, to White and Red. Their wines can be enjoyed either by the glass or through "sippers", which are one ounce each and allow you to taste a little bit of everything. A flight of all 20 sippers is equivalent to four glasses of wine. You can also order whole bottles of wine, or choose from the 200 bottles in their wine shop if you pay the $20 corkage fee.

There is also the "Wildcard" and "Rare Prize" sections, which can elevate your sipping experience even more. The Wildcards are a variety of beverages that overlap with wine such as, sake, sherry, beer and wine hybrids. While a Rare Prize speaks for itself––these wines are uncommon, difficult to find and worth every sip.

When it comes to food, they have a small snackable program that includes Robinson sourdough and butter, Good Fork hummus or Xim Xim, Pasta Forever citrus olives, Spanish conservas, Cacciatorino, and Milou basque cheesecake.

When entering, you are ushered through the bottle shop and into the back. With the sage green flooring, string lights, unique seating and a beautiful fountain in the centre, the space feels like a secret garden escape.

The Grape Witches patio is currently operating on a first come, first served basis and they are located at 1247 Dundas Street West. Their hours are noon to 9 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, and noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday. However, these hours may be extended.
