The Best Restaurants in Roncesvalles

For all the west enders or those looking to change up their usual lineup, we've rounded up the best restaurants in Roncesvalles.

Roncesvalles is known for its European, small-town ambiance. Post-WWII, many Polish immigrants settled in the neighbourhood, bringing Polish recipes, food and churches. With its proximity to High Park, the waterfront and several trails, it's been transforming from a place of Polish sausages, bakeries, and shops into one that's now speckled with local gift shops and young families.

Here are a few of our favourite spots in Roncy.

2243 Dundas St W

Juniors Pizza

Juniors Pizza

Loyal Vesuvio followers were heartbroken when the 63 year pizzeria closed earlier this year amid the pandemic. Shane Lemieux, an alum of the long standing pizzeria partnered with his former colleagues to open Juniors Pizzeria down the street, a New York-style pizzeria (just like Vesuvio used to make) and brought back an old and well-loved tradition to the community.

2125 Dundas St W

Bandit Brewery

Bandit Brewery

There’s something about twinkly lights and craft beer that makes people flock to this neighbourhood favourite. If their interesting brews aren’t enough for you, they’re sure to please with their delicious food and one of the best patios in town.

920 Queen St E

Ed's Real Scoop

Ed's Real Scoop

It may be getting cold outside...but that doesn’t mean ice cream season is over, especially when it’s as tasty as Ed’s. They make their ice cream in-store, and have delicious seasonal flavours (like pumpkin!). Grab a scoop or pick up a pint.

79 Roncesvalles Ave

Cherry Bomb Coffee

Cherry Bomb Coffee

Satisfy your caffeine withdrawal and sweet tooth at the same time here, offering up one of the best coffees in the city and house-made scones, croissants and other breakfast baked goods. You can smell their goodies from down the street, which they bake fresh each morning.

195 Roncesvalles Ave

Cafe Polonez

Cafe Polonez

It’s not an authentic Roncy experience without trying some Polish food. Take a trip to Cafe Polonez, a classic Polish restaurant serving up some of the best schnitzel, cabbage rolls, and perogies you’ll ever get your hands on.
