Method

Apple Tart with Caramel Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream 8 Steps

  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Step 2

    Roll out the puff pastry to a 1/4-inch thick and transfer it to the prepared baking sheet. Poke the puff pastry all over with a fork.

  • Step 3

    In a small bowl, whisk together the egg with 1 tablespoon water. Brush the puff pastry all over with the egg wash.

  • Step 4

    Sprinkle half of the brown sugar all over the puff pastry.

  • Step 5

    Arrange the apples in a single layer, overlapping them across the puff pastry.

  • Step 6

    Sprinkle the rest of the brown sugar and cinnamon on top.

  • Step 7

    Arrange the butter on top pf the apples. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown and apples are tender.

  • Step 8

    Cut and serve the apple tart with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, if desired.
